I-5: Sutherlin Creek and County Road
The project involves replacement of the existing five-span Southbound and Northbound twin bridges on I-5 over Sutherlin creek in Douglas county, Oregon with new three-span 240 ft long Southbound (58’-110’-72’) and 210 ft long Northbound (58’-76’-76’) structures.

I-5/Valencia Boulevard OC(Replacement).
Athalye Consulting Engineers was responsible for the for the PS&E preparation for the bridge replacement of the existing Valencia Boulevard Over Crossing with a wider bridge to accommodate seven lanes.

Chapman Avenue Undercrossing (Replacement)
The structure is a 194 foot two span CIP/PS box girder bridge. The existing precast girder bridge will be replaced by the new CIPP/S box girder bridge in a 2 stage construction approach.

Soto Street Over Los Angeles River
The Soto Street Bridge is a concrete arch structure constructed in 1928 to cross the Los Angeles River in the city of Vernon. It consists of six spans of six rows of reinforced concrete girders, spandrel columns and arch ribs, topped with an RC deck. The arch ribs are stiffened transversely by spandrel beams and umbrella stiffeners.

Caltrans On-Call Services
The I-405 HOV project is an important transportation link serving the counties of Los Angeles and Ventura. The extension of northbound HOV lane in this vicinity is being considered in an effort to provide additional capacity, alleviate traffic congestion, and reduce accidents along the northbound I-405 freeway.

Route 47
ACE served to monitor roadway traffic closures and fender repair in marine environment. Our inspector served in a
dual role for roadway and bridge work. The fender repairs consisted of emergency night work where existing damaged piles were replaced with new piles.
