Provided comprehensive construction management for two bridges for the County of San Luis Obispo. The services encompassed pre-construction phase in the set up of the project, construction management and the post-construction phase to resolve claims resolution and the preparation of the as-built plans.
O'Donovan Road Bridge at Huero Creek:
The existing bridge at this location was replaced by a new four span reinforced concrete slab bridge with pier walls supported on 70 ton HP10X57 steel driven piles. Included in this effort was the construction of the detour for O Donovan Road, removal of the existing concrete dip structure, construction of the approaches and rock slope protection. The estimated construction cost for the bridge was approximately $570,000 and the construction working days were approximately 95 working days.
Upper Los Berros Creek Bridge at Los Berros Creek:
Corbel:
A new single span reinforced concrete slab bridge replaced the existing bridge at Los Berros Creek on the Upper Los Berros Road near Nipomo. This included the construction of a detour for Los Berros Road that entails the building of a temporary CSP culvert, removal of the existing bridge and the roadway approach. The existing rock slope protection and rock rubble abutments remained in place. The estimated construction cost was approximately $173,000 and the project was completed in approximately 50 working days.
